Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli suddenly saw the end of his day for the second time in three games. The fiery manager was thrown out in the second innings of Friday’s game with the Detroit Tigers.

Baldelli was apparently unhappy with the home plate umpire’s strike zone and had some words from the dugout. The referee stopped the bout to let Baldeli know that he would not tolerate it. Shortly thereafter, Baldelli had a few more words and was dumped.

It has not been a good week for Rocco Baldelli. Perhaps this expulsion wasn’t as pleasant as his Wednesday night expulsion. After hitter Joey Gallo was hit on a boundary call, Baldelli stormed in to protect Gallo, who was later ejected.

Baldelli asserted that he got his point not only to the home plate umpire but to one of the on-field umpires.

This is now Baldelli’s fifteenth career ejection. As far as active managers go, he ranks 14th in the league, just one game behind Tampa Bay Rays head coach Kevin Cash.

Rocco Baldelli is not one to bite his tongue. He will let anyone know exactly how he feels and will always stand up for his players, right or wrong. Many players like to play for a manager like this.

Minnesota Twins players will always feel like they have someone backing them up. This allows players to play without worry, and this helps the team in the grand scheme of things. The most successful teams are often the ones full of players who are not afraid of failure.

Minnesota is slightly ahead of the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Central. Baldelli will have to stay in his team all year long if he wants to finish the season on top. While the Guardians started out slow, they are now starting to find their groove.
