Chelsea are said to be ready to offload Romelu Lukaku on a cut-rate transfer fee in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Lukaku, 30, has emerged as a hot topic of discussion after his season-long loan deal at Inter Milan ended. He was labeled a potential summer sale due to his adversarial relationship with the Blues.
A powerful left-footed striker, the 108-cap Belgium international joined Chelsea for a club record fee of £97.5m in the summer of 2021. However, he has struggled to impress with his long-awaited return, scoring just 15 goals in 44 appearances. Appearing in the 2021-22 season.
Subsequently, Lukaku chose to secure a loan move to Nerazzurri having taken his paycheck in hopes of recapturing his previous two-year stint in Serie A. He scored 14 goals in 37 games last season and failed to convince his former club to make a permanent move.
according to TransfersChelsea are keen to offload the former Manchester United and Everton striker to raise funds to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. They have informed the player’s solicitor, Sebastien Ledor, that they do not intend to loan him out again and would prefer to facilitate a permanent transfer this summer.
The Blues are willing to listen to offers in the region of £34m for Lukaku, with AC Milan keeping an eye on the striker. They aim to fill the attacking void by focusing on top targets such as Napoli star Victor Osimhen and future Juventus legend Dusan Vlahović.
Overall, Lukaku has scored 15 goals and 3 assists in 59 appearances for Stamford Bridge across two separate spells.
