Cowboys legend Deion Sanders drops update after emergency surgery

[ad_1]

NFL great Deion Sanders took to Instagram to share the update after his emergency surgery. The current Colorado coach was scheduled to undergo a medical procedure in which blood clots had to be removed from each of his legs.

They were considered essential as he was having some problems with his toes and feet. To work on those in the future, there needs to be proper blood flow to those areas. But upon examination, medical professionals found that the blood had not gotten there because of the clots and he needed to have surgery to remove them.

Based on his latest Instagram update, the operation was a success. He posted a message of thanks to the Lord, exalting the Creator for always being there for him. In the video, he is seen outside the University of Colorado Hospital before entering the room where the operation is scheduled to take place. Then, there is a montage of his presence and it ends with the message,

“Lord, I thank you.”

Deion Sanders posts a further update after the procedure

Aside from thanking the Lord, Deion Sanders shared an update of himself after the procedure that spoke to his loved ones. He looked frail but in good spirits as he spoke on a group video call. He can be seen asking about other people on the call and he seems to be recovering well.

At this difficult time, there were first reports that Deion Sanders might lose his leg, because there was a risk of amputation. But though he came out and corrected the record later saying it was a much milder measure than that, it was clear that he was relying on his faith to get it done.

Before the procedure, he again leaned on his faith to carry him through the day. He said that he believed in God every day and that he would never deny or stop loving the Creator because He existed even when no one else was.

We will await further updates from Coach Prime in the coming days on when it is possible to return to sideline training there and what further action may be necessary. But no matter what he brings to the University of Colorado in the coming days, it remains clear that he owes a debt of gratitude to the institution. The doctors and medical professionals at the university seem to have given him the best possible care through their experience and intervention.
