Some key New York Yankees football players need to talk Billy McKinney
While Billy McKinney got hot on the plate, some of the key New York Yankees players were cold. Giancarlo Stanton is one of the players. In his last five games, he was 1-18 with seven strikeouts. He was unable to get it after coming off the IL with a hamstring injury.
Another player who struggles offensively is everyday shortstop Anthony Volpe. Volpi hit .194/.274/.361 with 10 home runs. Looks like he’s hit a wall in his offensive development.
With Judge out of the lineup, the other guys have to step up and get done. They can’t count on the judge to be the only offending product. Other players have the ability to put runs on the board.
The Yankees will look to McKinney to continue producing and hope other players step up and help him out. Given the competitiveness of the America East League, they can’t afford to give up games they shouldn’t. Every match counts in this division.
