On Saturday, the body of a 39-year-old woman was found in a well in Virar district of Palghar district, Maharashtra state, police said.
An official said the victim, identified as Jagroti Raut, was found dead in a well by local residents in Charsad district of Virar on Friday night.
He said the police was informed and the body was sent to a government hospital in Vasai for an autopsy.
