US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries after a historic four-day visit by Prime Minister Modi.

In response, Prime Minister Modi said he fully agreed with the US president that the partnership between Washington and New Delhi is a “force for global benefit”.
“I totally agree with you, Joe Biden. The friendship between our two countries is a force for global good. It will make the planet better and more sustainable.” Prime Minister Modi responded to the US president via a tweet.

This comes two days after Modi’s official state visit to the US.
During his four-day trip, the prime minister paid a visit to the White House where he received an official welcome.
In Washington, Prime Minister Modi had fruitful discussions with President Biden, in restricted formats and at the mandate level.
The leaders highlighted the long-standing friendship and growing cooperation between the two countries, which includes areas such as trade and investment, defense and security, energy, climate change, and people-to-people relations.
The two leaders expressed their appreciation for the rapid progress made through initiatives such as Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET) and a keen desire to raise the level of strategic technology collaboration to build resilient supply chains.
They welcomed the deepening of cooperation in the vital mineral and aerospace sectors.
The two leaders renewed their commitment to combating climate change and achieving a sustainable future. They discussed ways to promote clean and renewable energy and cooperate on climate initiatives.
The two leaders expressed their determination to deepen the comprehensive and multifaceted global strategic partnership between India and the United States for the benefit of their peoples and the global community.
In Washington, Prime Minister Modi addressed the joint session of the US Congress.
