Such is the life of being the son of the biggest basketball star in the world, with Bronny James’ draft already being seriously considered.
Of course, it’s not unusual to try to bring out the best talent in the year they’ll be eligible.
James’ expectations just started before he even chose a college program to attend. The results came in and according to the results, James will definitely be a first-round pick if his development continues apace.
ESPN’s Jonathan Giffoni had previously predicted that James would be a lottery pick, but his most recent amended bid has Bruni picking No. 17. He predicted that StJames would be picked by the Atlanta Hawks over the Sacramento Kings.
Broni James has pledged to play for coach Andy Enfield at the University of Southern California (USC). It is not yet clear if he will be a lone player as is widely expected.
ESPN’s predicted James No. 17 pick is not set in stone, and it’s expected to rise like a lottery pick. Giffoni explained the positive side the younger James has, detailing his defensive instincts and shooting improvement:
“He is developing into the best perimeter defender in his high school class (Bronnie James) while making great strides in his perimeter shooting ability and game making.”
As with all predictions, predictions are not infallible and a year is a long time in basketball. Odds that were sure bets to be in the top 10 are usually eliminated for various reasons, and there are usually winners out of nowhere.
Depending on his time at USC, Bronny could go either way though he has shown a tendency to improve at every level.
Teams will be watching his development wherever his chosen destination is, his father has already expressed his desire to play with his son.
Atlanta Hawks fans will be crossing their fingers and toes in hopes that the prediction comes true. What’s better than one james? Two, if one of them is LeBron.
