Dutch Mantle believes the WWE Superstar is still ready to take on Roman Reigns
Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell believes it is only a matter of time before Cody Rhodes returns to the title picture.
Cody Rhodes challenged Roman Reigns for the title in the main event of WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles. The American Nightmare seemed to have won the match, but interference from The Bloodline’s Solo Sekua changed everything. Cody singlehandedly hit a Samoan Spike, and Reigns was then able to pin Rhodes to retain the title.
Since his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, Cody has been involved in a rivalry with Brock Lesnar. He defeated Lesnar at Backlash, but Brock got his revenge at Night of Champions. Former AEW star is scheduled to face Dominic Mysterio at Judgment Day at Money in the Bank on July 1.
He talks about Sportskeeda Wrestling’s biting talk Show, the former WWE manager has stated that Cody Rhodes will likely find his way back into the title picture again.
Remember, not long ago; people said, ‘Well, Cody didn’t win. What do we do now? Oh, my God. it’s the end. But you have to wait, and I said over and over, be patient. Yeah, Cody didn’t win. But if Cody didn’t win, where would we be now? Cody would be in the picture. He’s doing other things and he’s still sitting in the waiting room waiting to be called,” Dutch Mantle said.
