A defense bulletin reported, on Tuesday, that the security forces, based on a report, searched a car, and seized two pistols, four containers of explosives and explosive devices.
In a joint operation, Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police recovered arms and ammunition that had been taken to Manipur.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, on Tuesday, stated that the security forces, based on a report, searched a vehicle and confiscated two pistols, four safes and explosives.
“Based on specific intelligence regarding attempts to smuggle arms, ammunition, explosives and other war-like stores into Manipur via Nagaland, a joint operation between Assam Rifles and Police was launched at 2 a.m. on Monday. At about 6 a.m., the teams jointly searched the vehicle and seized the Weapons and explosives.
The statement added that no one was arrested.
