CM Siddaramaiah said that all wrongdoing and hoaxes from the BJP government including the bitcoin scam will be investigated.
The Karnataka state Congress government said on Tuesday that it will get a bitcoin scam that occurred during the previous BJP government thoroughly investigated. Home Minister Dr Parameshwara has hinted that the case will likely be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Speaking to reporters on Good Day, CM Siddaramaiah said that all wrongdoing and hoaxes of the BJP government including the bitcoin scam will be investigated. Parameshwara accused the BJP of trying to close the matter but the Congress government will investigate.
“Regarding Bitcoin, I have said that any incident that occurred will be thoroughly investigated. For whatever reason, it was shut down by the previous government. When we were in opposition, we said we would be investigated if we come to power. We will take all steps to reinvestigate,” Parameshwara told reporters here. In which.
He also said that the Bengaluru Police Commissioner had written to the Director General of Police recommending that this case should be referred to the CID for investigation. A new team has been formed. So there should not be any surprise if the case is referred to the CID.”
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police P Dayananda said there are suspicions that this case involves a network both nationally and internationally. “Since it is evident that this work was done using cutting-edge technological methodologies, we have written to the Director General of Police with a view to conducting a high-level investigation by a specialized investigation agency,” Dayananda told reporters here.
According to him, one of the stages of the investigation took place and further investigation was needed to trace the involvement of some other network because some hackers were involved, who hacked it in a professional way.
“(The hackers) have also breached the government’s e-procurement portal. An orderly investigation is needed,” the police commissioner said.
