After a road collapse near Magathan metro station, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation obtained an FIR registered against Chandak Builder, whose excavation work is said to have collapsed the soil next to the rainwater drainage chamber, damaging the wall of the chamber.

According to Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited, a stormwater drainage chamber near the entrance/exit of Terminal 2 is in close proximity to the foundation of escalators and escalators. This led to rainwater flowing into the excavation area, officials said, posing a potential risk of further collapse of the drainage chamber and the foundation of staircases and escalators.
The company inspected the Cave Road site with BMC and the Mumbai Metropolitan Area Development Authority on Wednesday.
