Delhi’s 3rd Heist in 10 Days; Businessman Robbed Of Rs 4 Lakh at Kashmere Gate | WATCH

Just three days after the horrific daytime robbery inside the Pragati Maidan tunnel in Delhi, another heist was pulled off by miscreants in the Kashmir Gate area of ​​the national capital, late on Tuesday evening.

This time, two men on bicycle robbed a businessman, and took his scooter with about Rs 3,000 in cash.

“Information was received that around 4,000 Indian rupees were looted from a businessman in Delhi’s Kashmir Gate area last night. Investigation is underway,” Delhi Police said in a statement.

The theft was caught with security cameras installed in the area, where the thieves could be seen fleeing on the victim’s bike.

This is the third case of theft of its kind reported in Delhi in the past 10 days, though the Delhi Police has stepped up its night patrols with senior officers and a keen vigil in a bid to contain street crime.

Just three days ago on 24th June, a delivery agent and his partner were robbed of Rs 2 lakh at gunpoint inside the Pragati Maidan Tunnel.

CCTV footage received by the Delhi Police showed that four men with motorbikes intercepted the vehicle and robbed Omiya Enterprises’ delivery agent, Chandni Chowk, and his partner at gunpoint.

Police said on Tuesday that seven people have been arrested so far in connection with the theft.

Another robbery was reported on 19 June, when three miscreants allegedly looted Rs 1 lakh from a person in Mandoli district.

“A case has been registered and efforts are underway to identify the culprits,” Delhi Police said after the incident.
