Amid such links, Liverpool fans will be heartened by the fact that Chobuszlai holds Klopp in high esteem. He speaks to the Hungarian sports channel cleaning In 2020, via Liverpool.com (h/t Sport Bible), the then RB Salzburg playmaker said:
“I really like Klopp. The kind of person he is. The way he can inspire his players is incredible. Even when they have nothing, they can stand up and his players can achieve anything. For me he is the best coach (in the world).”
Szoboszlai is an attacking midfielder who can play wide. He is said to fit the profile Liverpool are looking for after dropping out of the race to sign Chelsea’s Mason Mount in recent weeks.

Transfer expert praises Liverpool’s request Mickey van de Ven
Micky van de Ven has reportedly been on the radar of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur lately.
The 22-year-old centre-back joined Wolfsburg in the summer of 2021, but it was last season that he made a real impact. 36 of Wolfsburg’s 41 appearances have come in the 2022-23 season, as they kept 12 clean sheets.
Paying tribute to the Dutch player on Sky Sports’ transfer show, European football transfer expert Kevin Hatchard said via HITC:
“He’s had a really strong season. He’s played almost every minute of Wolfsburg’s season, and it was right at the end of the season when he missed the first minutes. This is a guy who, when signed from Volendam by Wolfsburg, was absolutely fantastic. Much wanted by Ajax.” It was an exciting property.”
he added:
“A left man, aggressive defender, good on the ball and I think he has developed defensively with Niko Kovac.” I can understand why it would be an attractive option. Liverpool have looked at him and I can understand why Tottenham are interested as well.”
Van de Ven, whose contract expires in June 2027, has announced that he dreams of playing at Anfield. He also confirmed his desire to leave the Volkswagen Arena this summer if he had a suitable opportunity.
