Addressing a crowd in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, BJP President JP Nada also took aim at the rival parties and claimed that the BJP had wiped out dynastic politics and the vote bank.

Bharatiya Janata Party chief JP Nada on Thursday said the agreements on space, foreign direct investment and technical support were signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the US, unlike in the past when prime ministers used to discuss terrorism during such tours.

Addressing a rally in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, he also took aim at rival parties and claimed that the BJP had wiped out dynastic politics and voting banks. “While others have become parties of families, in the BJP the party is a family,” Nada said.

He said, “Earlier, Indian prime ministers used to discuss terrorism issues during US visits. Prime Minister Modi signs agreements on space, foreign direct investment and technology support.” The BJP national chief claimed that now while talking about India, no one is referring to Pakistan.”Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we have achieved the ability to keep the country safe,” he said.

Before addressing the rally, Nada inaugurated the newly constructed BJP office in Bharatpur in the presence of former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje and other leaders.

Earlier in the day, Rajasthan Assembly Opposition Leader Rajendra Rathore, while interacting with reporters in Bharatpur, said, “Unified Civil Code is the need of the day. Central leadership will decide that… There should be one common law for all.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday made a strong push for a unified civil code, questioning how the country could operate with dual laws governing personal matters, and accusing the opposition of using the UCC case to “mislead and provoke” the Muslim community.
