Shahbad Deri rape: The incident comes a month after the Shahbad Deri murder case when a man repeatedly stabbed and bludgeoned a 16-year-old girl to death in full view.
Police said on Thursday that a 16-year-old girl sustained a gang wound on the evening of June 27 in Delhi’s Shahbad dairy district. The victim was sitting with her friend in a garden when three people took turns raping her and ran away.
“Upon receiving the complaint, the police recorded the FIR and arrested the three accused,” an officer said, adding that the policemen are also searching for her friend, and the police are also trying to determine if the victim is new to the accused men.
The incident comes a month after the sensational murder of Shahbad Deri when a man repeatedly stabbed and bludgeoned a 16-year-old girl to death in full view.
The gruesome murder, which took place on May 28, was caught on CCTV and the footage showed the man thrusting a knife into the girl no less than 20 times as dozens of people passed by but no one intervened to save her. Police said she had 34 injury marks on her body and her skull was crushed.
