The family of a 16-year-old school girl, who died by suicide on June 20 in Hoskote town, rural district of Bengaluru, has filed a police complaint against two teachers of the private school she attended alleging harassment and solicitation of the girl. death.

The complaint was filed against the teachers on 27 June after the parents learned of the alleged circumstances that led to the girl’s death by suicide.

According to the complaint, the two teachers punished and reprimanded the 16-year-old student several times in front of others. The complaint states that the punishments began after rumors spread about her alleged relationship with the son of a teacher, who is a student at the same school.

On the day the 16-year-old girl died by suicide, she was allegedly locked inside an empty room in the school by the teachers and then, when she came out, found that she was crying, as the parents told the police after learning about the incident from her close friends.

Earlier, on June 17, the two teachers gave a lecture to the student at the school after hearing rumors about her alleged affair, the complaint says.
