MICA Ahmedabad has recorded an increase in the percentage of females enrolled in all three programs in the new batch.

Fifty-three percent of the incoming batch in all three programs—the major PGDM-C and PGDM, Creative Communication Formulation (CCC), and the Associate in Management (FPM) program—are female, while 47 percent are students.

Of the 235 students in all three programs, 125 are female and 110 are male.

“MICA is recognized as the most gender diverse B school in the country with a gender ratio of 50:50 most of the time. We take pride in our uniquely designed admissions test, MICAT, which tests analytical and creative skills, said Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta, President and Director of MICA. It attracts more female students without any preference or quota.

The new batch includes students from Medicine, Architecture, Design, Law, Finance and Dentistry, apart from Arts, Commerce, Technology and Science.

The current PGP class of 204 students includes 101 male and 103 female students. About 80 percent of the PGP class has students in the 21-25 age group. Of the 204 students, as many as 52 percent come with previous work experience.

For the CCC program, 79 percent of the class are girls. About 70 percent of the total payment comes with previous work experience. The Free Patriotic Movement batch includes three female students out of a total of 7 female students.
