Finland’s economy minister Wilhelm Gonella resigned on Friday after just 10 days in the job, the nationalist Finns’ party said, due to previous comments he made linked to the Nazis.

“For the sake of the continuation of the government and the reputation of Finland, I consider it impossible for me to continue as a minister in a satisfactory manner,” Gonella said in a statement.

Gunella is a member of the Finns Party, part of a right-wing coalition that took office on June 20 after an election in April.
