Arsenal midfielder Jorginho was enjoying the couple’s elopement with partner Kathryn Harding and posted a picture with her on his Instagram account.

Jorginho and Harding are back in the midfielder’s home country, staying at Massa Lubrense in Italy. The couple are enjoying a little down time before the Italian jets depart for the United States for pre-season with Arsenal next month.

The 31-year-old uploaded two photos of the duo together on vacation with a picturesque background. He commented on the post:

“I am the happiest man in the world. I love you.”

The Arsenal midfielder and Harding are said to have met for the first time in 2019 following his split from ex-wife Natalia Letri, according to The Sun. Harding is a former contestant on The Voice UK and will appear on the show again in 2020.

Jorginho has been easing his hiatus with his partner after a hectic previous campaign. He joined the Gunners in January from Chelsea for £12m, ending a five-year stay in west London.

However, the couple didn’t have to travel far as they simply headed to North London for the Italian to take on a new career path. He was part of Mikel Arteta’s team that lost the Premier League title by five points to Manchester City.

He has three children, Vitor and Alicia, and his mother, Leteri. He has a child with Harding, Jax, who is the youngest of the three.

Jorginho appears to have played a role in luring Kai Havertz to Arsenal

Kai Havertz has completed a £65m transfer from Chelsea to Arsenal, joining Arsenal on a long-term deal. The German striker has been reunited with Jorginho, with whom he spent two and a half years at Stamford Bridge.

It is reported that the Italian was in talks with Havertz throughout the negotiations, which convinced him to move to the UAE. The duo shares a warm friendship after winning the 2021 UEFA Champions League together.

Havertz hinted at the family mentality of the Arsenal squad that played a part in convincing him to make the move. He told the club’s official website:

“I think the family mentality that the team has on the field is one of the reasons it’s so difficult to play against Arsenal. I think they get off the field as well. So the team mentality in the team is very, very high and you can feel that.”

The German joins North London after a frustrating season with Chelsea. Scored nine goals in 47 matches across competitions.
