“There is no need to download the challan receipt for linking the PAN to Aadhaar. As per section 139AA of the Income Tax Act 1961, it is mandatory for every person eligible for Aadhaar to state their Aadhaar number while applying for PAN or filing income return from 1st July 2017.
If any person does not possess an Aadhaar number but has applied for an Aadhaar Card, then the person can mention the Registration ID on the Aadhaar application form in the ITR.
