Police said two people died on Saturday after a compressor exploded in an air compressor tank at an illegally run plastic molding factory in Gokkalpuri district, northeast Delhi.

PCR, local police and fire department personnel immediately arrived at the site. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) Joy Turki said they discovered that a plastic molding factory was being run from home.
The investigation revealed that four people were injured at the site. He added that while three of them had already been taken to the GTB hospital, the fourth was found dead on the spot.
Later, one of the injured people died in hospital, the DCP said.
The explosion occurred in the air compressor tank used in the plastic molding machine. Turki said the factory operated out of rented accommodation of about 150 square yards.
Naresh, the landlord, rents the premises to one of Yadav, who used to run the factory. Efforts are being made to contact them. Their cell phones are off. The Social Democratic Party said they would be tracked down soon.
The deceased persons have been identified as Pablo (38), a resident of Rohini Sector 22, and Ram Karan (60), a resident of Khajuri Khas. Police said Karan was an rickshaw driver.
Pablo was a compressor mechanic. He died instantly, while Karan lost his life in the hospital during treatment. Police added that a case is being registered and investigations are still underway.
