Police said that while the accused stole a BMW Z4 from the Badshah’s party, he stole another car – a BMW X5 – from a pub in the city last year.

Hyderabad police have arrested the man who stole a luxury car from singer Badshah’s concert in the city’s Boulder Hills area on June 24. The man has been identified as B. Aaron Reddy, a small freelance web designer, who is said to have a “charm” for BMWs and posed as a valet to fool unsuspecting car owners.

Reddy, a resident of Gachibowli, was arrested by Cyberabad Police on Friday for stealing two BMW cars – worth around Rs 1 crore – from the city. Each car is worth around Rs 1 crore, as per a report by Times of India.

Police said that while the accused stole a BMW Z4 from Badshah’s party, he stole another car – a BMW X5 – from a pub in the city last year.

On June 24, during the concert, Reddy noticed a woman driving to the show in the car and approached her, claiming to be a servant. To make his act more believable, the accused entered the woman’s details into an app on his phone, after which she handed him the car keys, Deputy Commissioner of Police K. Shilpavali said, according to the report.

By the time the woman realized that she had been deceived, it was too late as the accused had fled by car without being stopped.

After the woman filed the report, the police tracked CCTV cameras in the area and found the car parked in the luxury hotel’s car park.

We discovered that the accused parked the car at the Sheraton Hotel after it was stolen and left it there for a week. The newspaper quoted the official as saying on Friday morning, when he returned to the hotel to pick up the car, we arrested him. TOI a report.

During the investigation, the police also found that Reddy stole another expensive car from a pub in the city last year, which he recovered from his home. Police said the accused was using the car which he stole last year by replacing its number plate with one from Jharkhand.

According to the police, Reddy’s modus operandi was to chat up unsuspecting car owners as a valet and drive out as soon as he had the keys.
