Christophe Galtier, director of Paris Saint-Germain, could face up to three years in prison for “moral harassment and discrimination”. A trial in his case is scheduled for December.

Galtier reportedly sent an email during his tenure as director of OGC Nice, in which he stated:

“I have created a team of scum. There are only blacks and half of the team goes to the mosque on Friday.”

These controversial words put the PSG manager in trouble. The 56-year-old and his son, John Valovic Galtier, had been taken into police custody earlier. He could face severe consequences if he is found guilty in the December trial. Apart from a three-year prison sentence, Galtier could also face a €45,000 fine.

Pundit has hailed PSG’s move for Lucas Hernandez

Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to sign French defender Lucas Hernandez from Bayern Munich for 50 million euros. The former Atletico Madrid star is currently the center back in the world. The 2018 World Cup winner can also play left-back, rising to prominence during his La Liga days.

Former France international Christophe Dugarry believes Hernandez will bring some much needed aggression to the Ligue 1 giants. Speaking about signing the Frenchman, the 1998 World Cup winner told RMC Sports;

“I think he’s the perfect choice for PSG. He’s a player with an impeccable mentality, that’s what is needed, and today he’s the absolute benchmark for players to be recruited by PSG. He’s had a difficult season but we shouldn’t bury him. He’s flawless in terms of Mental, he will bring this audacity, this aggressiveness, this seminar.”

he added:

“$50 million is like $500 for PSG, so money is not an issue. There are astronomical sums coming from everywhere, from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries, so that shouldn’t be an issue anymore.”

The Parisians recently acquired Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan to bolster their defence. They also currently have Nuno Mendes in their ranks as a left-back. But the Portuguese proved to be injury-prone. Mendes could also operate in a more advanced position if Hernandez is signed.
