Taylor Moore retained the lead in the Rocket Mortgage Classic by the end of round two, tying Canadian Taylor Pendrith. Both players closed out with an aggregate score of 13-under 131.
Moore had another strong performance at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, with Seven Birds and Two Bogeys. Meanwhile, Pendreth shows huge improvement by giving him a -8 on a day without a bogey for him (eight birdies).
PGA Tour star Ludvig Aberg didn’t give up anywhere, holding on for third place at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, now tied with Ricky Fowler.
Aberg played for -5 with only 1 bogey (6 birdies). Fowler was much better than Thursday. He drifted only once, with six birdies and an eagle.
There were many amazing climbs during the second round, but none like Andrew Landry, who jumped 74 places on the Rocket Mortgage Classic leaderboard. Landry scored an all-time best second round at -9.
The surprise co-leader from the previous day at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Peter Quest, didn’t pick up the pace like he did in the previous round. However, he had a decent second day (-2) and moved into the T9 weekend.
The cutoff line for Rocket Mortgage Classic is finally drawn at -4. Among the players who were unable to qualify, the case of defending champion Tony Finau stands out.
