Education Minister Atishi visited the Center for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE.CO) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad on Saturday. I interacted with passionate entrepreneurs shaping their innovative projects at the centre.

“The government is planning to introduce student ‘entrepreneurs’ in higher education institutions and polytechnics. These initiatives are aimed at empowering young minds to explore their potential in the field of entrepreneurship and contribute to the vibrant startup ecosystem in India.” Atishi said.

She added that the insights and knowledge gained from CIIE.CO’s successful entrepreneurship initiatives will play a vital role in shaping the government’s youth entrepreneurship programme.

Located at IIM Ahmedabad, CIIE.CO provides an incubation space for startups to collaborate, innovate and grow. The center invests in early-stage startups and provides support through regional and virtual incubation programs, providing guidance and mentorship throughout the entrepreneurial journey.

Atishi also stated, “Through the Business Blasters program in government schools in Delhi, we have enabled a large number of children to become job providers instead of job seekers. This has not only encouraged more young entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams and contribute to economic growth and innovation in India, but also gave them the confidence to face all the challenges of life fearlessly.”
