India captain Rohit Sharma was recently seen enjoying his vacation ahead of the West Indies tour, starting on July 12.

Rohit was last seen in action during the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final in June. India clashed with Australia at Kennington Oval and suffered a massive defeat by 209 runs. This was their second WTC Finals defeat in as many matches.

Since then, Indian cricketers have been spotted enjoying their break in different parts of the world. Rohit Sharma is currently enjoying himself in the Caribbean and shares a picture of himself with the breathtaking view.

Rohit Sharma would next appear in action when India blasted West Indies on a tour of versatility. The Men in Blue will have two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is, starting next week.

However, the Indian captain has already set his eyes on the 2023 ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to be held on home soil later this year.

The men in blue have not won an ICC trophy since the 2013 Champions Trophy and will be looking to end their drought and rekindle memories from the 2011 World Cup when MS Dhoni & Co led India to their second World Cup title in 50 years.

“This World Cup will be very competitive” – Rohit Sharma after ICC releases ODI World Cup schedule

Rohit Sharma believes that the upcoming ODI World Cup at home will be very competitive “because the game has become faster”.

“This World Cup will be very competitive as the game is faster and teams are playing more positively than ever before,” Rohit was quoted as saying in an ICC release.

“It all bodes well for fans around the world, and promises them many exciting moments. We look forward to preparing well and being at our best in October and November.”

India will start their World Cup campaign against Australia at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, October 8.
