According to the police, 10 Maoists, including some female cadres, broke into the crusher unit and set fire to two earthenware machines, five animals and two cranes.
Police said on Saturday that the suspected Maoists looted property and set fire to nine machines at a crusher unit in Rayagada district of Odisha.
The incident occurred near Dokupale under the authority of Moneguda Police Station late on Friday evening.
According to the police, 10 Maoists, including some female cadres, broke into the crusher unit and set fire to two earthenware machines, five hewas and two cranes.
The Red Rebels also left behind posters claiming that they had destroyed the machinery because the crusher unit was causing pollution in the area. They also alleged that the owner of the crusher unit was exploiting the workers.
