Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is the latest elite player to capitalize on the fortunes of the Saudi league by joining Cristiano Ronaldo in Al-Nassr.

The move means that Brozovic will move from playing in the Champions League final in his last game for Inter Milan – as captain – to a league just beginning to emerge on the international scene.

“Everyone wants him. He just wants us,” Al-Nasr said in a tweet announcing Brozovic’s arrival on Monday.

Media reports put the transfer fee at 18 million euros ($20 million) and that Brozovic had agreed a three-year deal worth more than 25 million euros ($30 million) per season.

Inter could use the money from the sale to help him buy back Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in December in a deal worth $200 million annually.

Recently, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Neves, Kalidou Coulibaly and Edouard Mendy have also moved to the Saudi League.

Al-Nasr also announced that Nike is the new sponsor of the uniform for the next season, as the club will start wearing sush during a tour in Japan at the end of this month.

The 30-year-old Brozovic is a versatile midfielder who has spent the last nine seasons at Inter.
