David De Gea is attracting interest from Fenerbahce as his future at Manchester United continues to be up in the air, according to Turkish Radio. Sports.

De Gea has been a key player for the Red Devils since joining from Atletico Madrid for around £21.5m in 2011. The goalkeeper has played 545 matches across competitions for the club, keeping 190 clean sheets across competitions. He has also helped them win eight trophies, including the Premier League title.

However, the Spaniard’s future at Manchester United is now in doubt. His Old Trafford contract expired on Friday (30 June). The English giants have asked the goalkeeper not to sign for another club until they line up a replacement, according to The Sun.

The Athletic recently reported that De Gea had agreed a new deal on a massive wage cut only for United to walk away from the agreement. The Red Devils have made a new offer for the former Atletico man, but they want him to accept a lower salary.

There are suggestions the Premier League club will hold further talks with the goalkeeper following his wedding at the weekend. However, they are also looking to sign a new shot-stopper behind the scenes, with Andre Onana, Justin Bellew, Kevin Trapp and Diogo Costa all considered.

De Gea’s 12-year stint with Manchester United could end this summer. However, the Spain international will not be without options as he attracts interest from Fenerbahçe. According to the aforementioned source, the Turkish giants have inquired about the goalkeeper’s salary demands.

Fenerbahçe have already made four additions, including Ryan Kent and Edin Dzeko, to their summer squad. They have now turned their attention towards signing a new goalkeeper and De Gea is among those under consideration alongside Dinamo Zagreb’s Dominik Levakovic.

The Super Lig club is not the only party interested in De Gea. The Saudi giants, Al-Nasr, are also keen to acquire the goalkeeper in a free transfer. He is likely to meet again with his former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in Riyadh.

Manchester United have identified Justin Bellew as a cheap replacement for Andre Onana

Manchester United have been closely linked with Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana. Manager Erik ten Hag is said to be keen to reunite with the Cameroonian, having worked with him at Ajax. However, the Red Devils could be priced in as a shot-stopper deal, with the Serie A giants wanting at least £43m.

Thus Feyenoord’s Justin Bigelow emerged as an option for the Premier League giants. The Dutch international is valued at around £17.1m by United, according to a Dutch daily The telegraph. However, the player’s employers have no plans to sell him this summer.

Thus Ten Hag and Co. could be forced to resort to other alternatives. FC Porto’s Diogo Costa and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp are said to be under consideration at Old Trafford. However, it should be noted that the former may cost as much as Onana.
