The Pakistani woman who was arrested for entering India illegally and staying in Greater Noida without valid documents, on Tuesday was sent to judicial custody for 14 days by a local court, which also ordered her four children to be kept with their mother in jail. the police said.

They said the woman’s Indian partner, who lives and shelters in Greater Noida, and his father, who was aware of the whole incident, were also taken into custody.

Police said central agencies, including the Immigration Bureau, and the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad have been informed about the Pakistani woman who was arrested for staying illegally in Greater Noida after entering India in May.

A senior officer said the woman arrived in India on May 13 with her four children without valid documents to stay with an older man from Noida, whom she had befriended through an online game of PUBG in 2019. Over the time, the duo played online games together and chatted via messages. Texts and phone calls on Whatsapp and Instagram.

The Pakistani woman, Seema Ghulam Haider, was arrested. “The man of Greater Noida, Sachin Meena, who harbored her, and his father, Netrapal Mea, who was aware of the couple, have also been arrested,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Saad Mia Khan told reporters.

“The Pakistani woman’s four children – aged seven and under – will be brought before a competent court here and further action will be taken as directed by the court,” Khan said.

The FIR in the case was filed at Rabopura Local Police Station under the provisions of the Aliens Act, Passport (Entry into India) Act and Indian Criminal Law Section 120b (Party to Criminal Conspiracy) and 34 (Act of Several Persons with Common Intent), he said. .

“Central agencies, including the Bureau of Immigration, and the UP Anti-Terrorism Squad have been informed about the case,” the DCP said.

On Tuesday afternoon, Seema, Sachin and his father Netrapal appeared before a local court which referred them to judicial custody for 14 days, Sudhir Kumar, an official at Rabopura Police Station, told PTI.

The policeman said, “The children – three girls and a boy – appeared before a competent court which ordered that the children remain with their mother, who will be deposited in Loksar Jail in Greater Noida.”

Seema left Pakistan in May for Nepal, arriving on a tourist visa with her children. I stayed there in Pokhara and took a bus to Delhi via Kathmandu and then reached Greater Noida.

Seema Haider, who is around 30, had come to meet Meena, who is 25, and the duo were planning to stay together in Greater Noida. She was staying separately in rented accommodation, but word soon spread of her Pakistani ancestry. An official said the couple recently contacted a lawyer to find out about the marriage provisions but the information reached the police.

The official added that the couple recognized the police who tracked them down and left Greater Noida with the children but were tracked down in Balabgarh, Haryana while escaping.

Meena, who runs a food store, lives in Ambedkar Nagar district of Rapopura in Greater Noida. Seema Haider hails from the Pakistani province of Sindh and married Ghulam Haider in 2014. They lived together in Karachi until 2019 when Ghulam moved to Saudi Arabia for work. The police said that this was her second marriage and that the four children she brought with her were from her first husband.

The police added that the couple did not have a happy marriage, and in 2019, Seema Haider came into contact with Meena while playing PUBG and eventually got so close that she decided to come to India with her children.

Police said they recovered from her Sima’s marriage registration certificate, Pakistani nationality identity card, sim card, and a mobile phone from that country. They added that five passports were also seized, including Sachin’s.

The police also found two video tapes of Seema’s marriage.

Police said Sachin met Seema once in Kathmandu, Nepal, in March this year and they were together for seven days. During this meeting, they decide their future course of action, which includes marriage and staying in India.
