Two people were killed and three others were injured when huge boulders slid down a hill and crushed their vehicles in Chumukidima district of Nagaland on Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred on National Highway 29 near the old Shmukidima checkpoint around 5 p.m., officials said. The cars were coming from the Kohima side during the accident.

Video, captured by the dashboard camera of a vehicle waiting behind, shows the boulders rolling down the hill and smashing three cars.
One person died instantly, while another person succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the referral hospital. Officials said the injured were being treated in hospital.
The police reported that a person was still stuck inside one of the cars and that work was under way to get him out.
Nagaland Chief Minister Nebiu Rio expressed condolences to the families of the dead and said the state government was taking all necessary steps to provide emergency services.
He also announced a gratuity of 4 lakh rupees for the families of the deceased and the necessary medical assistance and aid for the injured.
