Delhi police have Arrested Officers said on Tuesday that four people ran an alleged exam racket where they took money from National Eligibility and Entry Test takers for Rs 7 lakh and made their gang members appear at their place.
Police said the ringleader was identified as Naresh Bishnoi, a second-year student at AIIMS Delhi. Police said he had approached several students of the institution to join the gang by enticing them with money.
Police further said that Bishnoi made first-year students appear for NEET exam instead of his clients by getting Rs 7 lakh from them.
Police have so far arrested the accused Sanju Yadav, Mahavir, Jitendra and Bishnoi. Yadav is a first year radiology student at AIIMS and the rest of the students are also AIIMS students who were writing the exam on behalf of their clients. Police officers said their phones and laptops were seized and an investigation is underway to see if other students were also involved.
