Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday convened a review meeting to assess the progress of the ‘Aravalli Safari Park Project’ and the ‘Rakhigarhi Museum in Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi’. The meeting in New Delhi was attended by senior officials from forestry, tourism and other allied departments.

At the meeting, Khattar directed the officials to complete all formalities related to the Aravalli Safari Park project within one week.

Later, while interacting with the media, the Chief Minister said, “Ten thousand acres of land in Aravalli district in Gurugram and Noh districts have been identified for Jungle Safari Park. In today’s meeting, a wide range of key issues related to these projects were discussed in detail. They will be developed Jungle Safari Park is in three phases, with the first phase expected to be completed in about two years.”

“The State Government envisages developing a safari park in line with the biodiversity park concept on a 10,000-acre plot of land in Aravalli district in Gurugram and Noh districts. To achieve this objective, a two-stage bidding process has been adopted to select an international organization to provide design consultancy services for the development of the Aravalli Safari Park project. Nominating two companies with international experience in designing and operating such facilities to participate in the second phase Khattar added that a detailed technical proposal was submitted along with the theoretical design that was reached by the bid evaluation committee and a proposal to select the winning company was submitted to the government for approval.

“In the jungle safari, there is an attempt to introduce all kinds of animals and birds. Animals that can adapt to our climatic conditions are examined, in addition to the local species. A lake should be created for migratory birds, similar to Sultanpur Lake, which was also proposed in the meeting. It is also working The safari park in the jungle as a center for the conservation and protection of endangered animals.

“During the meeting, foreign experts Alexander Konrad Breuer, Gonzalo Fernandez Hoyo and Saurav Beg made a detailed presentation regarding the safari park,” the Prime Minister said.

Speaking about the Rakhigarhi Museum under construction, Haryana Chief Minister said, “The state government is working with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Government of India to develop the Rakhigarhi Site Museum and Interpretation Centre. The Archaeological Survey of India has prepared a proposal for a site museum at Rakhigarhi and a development plan For tourism and development infrastructure within Rakhigarh Village, which is nearing completion.

“At today’s meeting, the schedule for various subjects has been fixed. The tender will be tendered by 15th July and completed by 15th August. All departments… have been instructed to work at a fast pace so that the museum can be opened to visitors by December. Haryana may be a small state in terms of Geographically, it has the majority of archaeological sites. Remains of Saraswati period civilization are also found in many places in Haryana. The government is leaving no stone unturned to preserve all these sites.”
