A man has been arrested after he was caught with 19 live ammunition at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi on Tuesday. The man is set to board an Air India flight from Delhi to Bengaluru.
According to ANI, Delhi Police recovered live cartridges from the passenger, who was identified as Ajay Kumar Banna.
The news agency ANI quoted Delhi Police as saying that, on interrogating the passenger, he failed to produce any valid documents to support the carrying of these cartridges in his baggage at the time of boarding.
Upon not showing any document, the police detained the passenger.

This comes days after a female passenger was arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) on Saturday after she was found carrying 22 live rounds and one empty capsule.
According to the Nouakchott News Agency, the woman, identified as Yashi Singh, was arrested after she failed to produce valid documents for carrying live ammunition onto a plane.
Police said Singh was traveling with her family and her father claimed he had a valid weapons licence, adding that the ammunition belonged to him.
A case under Section 25 of the Weapons Act has been registered against her at IGI, Airport Police Station and investigation is underway, ANI said.
