India summoned the Canadian envoy and issued a position on the growing activities of pro-Khalistani elements in Canada, the Associated Press of Pakistan quoted people familiar with the matter as saying on Tuesday.
The summoning of the Canadian High Commissioner came after pro-Khalistani groups published some posters with the names of some Indian diplomats. It was learned that India had also requested the Canadian authorities to take appropriate action in view of the planned protests by pro-Khalistan groups outside the Indian missions in Canada on 8 July.

The Canadian High Commissioner was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday and a decision was issued, the aforementioned people said, referring to the poster releases and planned protests.
People said that India raised with the US the attack on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco by Khalistan’s supporters who tried to set fire to the diplomatic facility.
