Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that Pakistan hopes the International Monetary Fund will clear a financial package when the World Bank’s board meets on July 12.
Pakistan secured a much-needed short-term $3 billion fiscal package from the International Monetary Fund on Friday, giving the country’s economy a long-awaited respite as it teeters on the brink of default.
