In a shocking turn of events, Sarpanch village in Telangana sets fire to his brother-in-law’s house in revenge for his daughter’s love marriage. This incident occurred in Itikalapalli village located in Narsampet Mandal in Warangal district.
Sources revealed that the mandala of Ravinder, Sarpanch Etkalapalli, strongly disapproves of his daughter Kavya Sri’s relationship with Jalagham Ranjith, a fellow villager. The two fell in love during their college days and despite her father’s disapproval, Kavya Sri eloped with Ranjith and married him.
After their marriage, the couple sent a video message to their families. Kavya Sri in the letter affirmed her love for Ranjit and asked her family for understanding and forgiveness for defying their wishes.
She also pleaded with her family to allow her to live happily with her husband, warning them that any attempts to separate them could drive her and Ranjit to suicide.
Enraged by his daughter’s actions, Sarpanch retaliates by setting fire to the homes of Ranjit and his friends who helped in their union.
Following the victims’ complaint, the police registered a case and deployed officers to maintain order as the incident created tension in the village.
According to a local resident, “Masked intruders rode five motorbikes at midnight and ransacked the house and stole Rs. 50,000 cash and several gold ornaments before setting it on fire. Everything, including cotton, turned to ashes. Unfortunately, as the perpetrators wore masks, no We can get to know them.”
