WWE Superstar Zelina Vega has shared that being a part of the LWO has changed her life and career in a big way.
After being off television for several months, the 32-year-old returned to SmackDown last year and introduced Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) to the main roster. She replaced Elektra Lopez as a member of the group. They would go on to turn face and revive the Latin World Order with legendary wrestler Rey Mysterio.
During a recent interview with wrestlingZelina Vega spoke about the impact her LWO membership had on her life and career.
“Joining the LWO has changed my life, my wrestling career, and my life in general. It’s a whole new form of person for me because I never thought I would ever be such a good guy. It’s like I’m going to show a whole new side of me and train Under Rey Mysterio is something I never thought I’d do.”
At the live event featured on Backlash, he challenged former Queen’s Crown winner Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She was seen as a crowd favorite due to her Puerto Rican roots, and got a huge reaction from the crowd despite her loss.
Zelina Vega talked about her relationship with the fans in Puerto Rico and what it was like to represent the LWO on the island.
“It was really an honor for me, I didn’t know what to expect when I went to Puerto Rico but having my family there and people I hadn’t seen in a while was like the cherry on top. With the fans it’s like they engage with me more, it’s a whole new soft side for me, But that’s an aspect that I’m starting to embrace.”
Zelina Vega competed in the Money in the Bank ladder match in London last Saturday. IYO SKY won the match, making her the new Ms. Money in the Bank.
