Emphasizing that no part of the country will be left behind due to lack of development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Saturday, he laid the foundation stone for infrastructure projects worth Rs 6,000 crore, including 176-kilometre national highway projects, in Warangana in Telangana.
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for a factory for the manufacture and repair of rolling stock in Kazypet. “This is a ‘golden period’ for India’s development. The highway infrastructure in Telangana has improved a lot in the last nine years and the highways passing through Telangana connect the economic hubs of the country,” Prime Minister Modi said.

The chief minister said the 108 km Mancherial-Warangal section of the Nagpur-Vijayawada corridor connects Maharashtra with Andhra Pradesh and also reduces the distance between Mancherial and Warangal.
“The four lanes of the Karimnagar-Warangal section will improve connectivity to the Warangal and Hyderabad industrial lanes, as well as to the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, and the SEZs of both cities,” he said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi offered prayers at the famous Bhadrakali Temple in Warangal. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The newly appointed Telangana Party Chairman J Kishan Reddy, his predecessor and Member of Parliament from Karimnagar, Pandey Sanjay Kumar, and Governor Dr Tamilsay Soundarajan attended the programme.
