The conductor persuaded the woman to take the conductor’s seat. Later, he sits next to her and misbehaves with her during the flight
Police said a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) captain, who allegedly attempted to sexually harass a female passenger on a moving bus, was taken into custody on Saturday.
The accused was identified as Justin, a native of Nyatinkara near Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the police, the man misbehaved with the woman after offering her a seat next to him on the Malappuram-bound bus which started its journey from the state capital.
He convinced the woman, who had taken a ticket to Ernakulam, that the seat she occupied was already taken and asked her to sit on the conductor’s seat until any other seat became vacant.
After some time, the accused also came and sat next to her on the same seat and allegedly misbehaved with her during the flight.
On the woman’s complaint, the Aluva Police arrested the train conductor when the bus reached Ernakulam district.
Aluva Police added that his arrest will be registered soon.
