Amid political turmoil in Maharashtra after the split in the National Congress Party engineered by party leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and a year after the split in his party in June last year, Shiv Sena (UBT) President Udhav Thackeray will begin a two-day tour of Vidarbha, Which is considered a stronghold of the Bharatiya Janata Party, from Sunday.

Uddhav will reach Amravati on Sunday. He will visit Yaftamal and Shem on the first day. In Yavatmal, he will also visit the famous Pohradevi Temple, a pilgrimage site for the Banjara community.

During the two-day trip, the President of Sena (UBT) and the former President of Maharashtra will visit Nagpur and Akola before returning to Mumbai.

During the visit, Uddhav will interact with party staff and also address party staff at several places in Vidarbha district. Many party workers planned small gatherings to visit Udhav at various locations. “The preparations for the tour are continuing and it has raised the morale of the party workers in Vidarbha district,” a party official said.
