The Manipur government told the Supreme Court on Monday that it is doing its utmost to protect the rights and security of all citizens irrespective of caste, creed, religion, tribe and society in the violence-hit state.

She said one of the petitioners – an NGO ‘Manipur Tribal Forum’ – should refrain from naming the tribes and the religion they followed during the hearings as it could have a negative impact on the land, whether intended or not.
