Superlek Kiatmoo9 wouldn’t mind stepping onto the ONE Championship circuit twice in less than a month.

The ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion is back in action at ONE Fight Night 12: Superlek vs. Khalilov on July 14 at the famous Lumpinee Boxing Arena.

A few weeks after defeating Nabil Annan at ONE Friday Fights 22, Superlek will face Russian artist knockout Tagir Khalilov in a Muay Thai match in Bangkok.

Superlek told ONE Championship in an interview that he is completely fine after his match against Anane, and that facing Khalilov on Friday is not a problem at all:

“I didn’t have any injuries from the last fight. So, I have no problem continuing my training. Fortunately, the last fight I was able to fight according to my game plan. So, I barely got injured and prepared for my next fight with Tagir.”

The fight against Anane was supposed to be a tough test for Superlek, but the Thai star showed the world why he is considered among the best in the current era.

Despite standing seven inches shorter than the 6-foot-2 Anane, Superlek barreled past the second-division WBC Muay Thai world champion at an overwhelming pace.

Superlek initially gauged how he would go the distance between himself and the 19-year-old phenom in the first few moments of the opening round. Once he found his footing, the “Kicking Machine” applied relentless pressure and eventually the KO’d body released the young star.

Superlek will now be up against a fighter of similar build, and all signs point to a potential Barnburner.

Khalilov knocks out two first-round rounds in a row, and “Samingpri” is quite capable of beating them to the best of their ability. Although he lost his ONE Championship debut against Rodtang via split decision, that match alone was a testament to Khalilov’s toughness and toughness.

ONE Fight Night 12 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
