Boris Bach was born to Reverend Theodore Pachkovsky and Ella Dabovich in 1900. Although he was born in California, his father was called back to his native Russia when Bach was six years old.
In 1916-1917, Bach and his father joined the forces and fought in World War I. The 16-year-old was an artilleryman in the war. It gradually became a government acquisition during the Russian Revolution. He was even awarded the St. George’s Cross for his efforts. In 1920, after marrying Lydia Vladimirovna Ivanova, he returned to the United States.
During World War II, he became the chief of counterintelligence for the United States. During this time, he was involved in the Manhattan Project and had the opportunity to meet Robert. He was assigned to interrogate Robert, as many suspected him of being a spy. However, Bash has confirmed that the allegations against Robert are false.
This prevented Robert from exiting the infamous project, but from that point on, he would always be accompanied by counterintelligence agents.
Bash had a huge career in the US Army after that. He retired in June 1963. Bash had a successful career in the US Army before retiring in June 1963. He passed away on May 11, 1995 at the age of 94 in Greenbrae, California.
