A Beech 390 Premier IA (VT-KBN) on Tuesday made an emergency landing at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru after the front landing gear did not fully extend for landing.

HAL spokesperson Gopal Sutar said, “A private jet aircraft took off to Bangalore International Airport and returned to HAL due to a problem with the landing gear. Upon inquiry and detailed examination, it was found that the nose wheel was not fully inoperative. The aircraft was evacuated for an emergency landing. After Taking all safety precautions including steps taken to runway to avoid fire, the aircraft landed without a lead wheel.”

He explained that both pilots were fine. There was no damage to the runway. The planes are being recovered.

The nose wheel is a landing gear under the nose of the aircraft.
