After a frantic search, the head was found 9 kilometers away in a forest in the Padma Police Station area

Police said the head of a man was found in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand state on Tuesday, 36 hours after its torso was found 9 km away.

They said the torso of the man, who has not yet been identified, was found on Sunday evening in Lotowa Forest in the Ishak Police Station area.

They added that after a frantic search, the head was found 9 kilometers away in a forest in the Padma Police Station area.

The head was sent to Sheikh Bukhari College and Hospital for examination. Kumar Chibashish, the officer in charge of the Ishak police station, said the body had already been kept in the hospital mortuary for identification.

He said no one has been arrested so far in connection with the case.
