Sri Lanka women and New Zealand women will face New Zealand women in the third T20I of the New Zealand women’s tour of Sri Lanka 2023 on July 12 at the P Sara Oval in Colombo.
New Zealand women have posed a massive challenge to Sri Lankan women in the shortest form. The Kiwi women made an important comeback in their first T20I, winning by five wickets. In the second T20I, they won by a larger margin of eight wickets.
Lea Tahuhu’s four wickets and a half century from Suzie Bates helped the visitors defeat Sri Lanka in Colombo to clinch the series. After being defeated 2-1 in the ODI series, it was an impressive performance by Sophie Devine and Co.
Here are the three players you can consider captain or vice-captain for the upcoming SL-W and NZ-W Dream11 Predictor Match.
On this tour, Chamari Athapaththu has so far delivered a mixed bag of performances. While she scored two centuries in ODI matches, helping Sri Lanka to victory, her T20I performance was not up to the mark.
However, the Sri Lankan captain would be keen to reverse the situation in the next match and repeat its ODI form. She was unlucky as she was run out in the last match in just two rounds.
Don’t miss including her in your SL-W vs NZ-W Dream11 team because a player of her caliber could suddenly become effective at any time.
#2 Suzie Bates (NZ-W) – 9 credits
Veteran Kiwi cricketer Susie Bates has performed in both T20Is to date. She scored 96 runs in two matches, including an impressive 52-run knock that sealed the T20I series for New Zealand.
By successfully distracting the spinners with her footwork, Bates reached her half century of 26th in T20Is in the last game. She was inventive in her stroke play, effectively using the scoop and paddle.
She will aim to make a strong impact in the upcoming match and is therefore essential in the SL-W vs NZ-W Dream11 Team.
Since the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2022-23, Amelia Kerr has been in great form in the T20Is. She has taken eight wickets and scored 180 runs, including a half century, in her last five T20I games.
The 22-year-old is currently the New Zealand women’s second-highest run-scorer in the ongoing T20I series, amassing 67 runs in two innings. With two wickets already in her box, Amelia becomes a contender for captaincy in your SL-W vs NZ-W Dream11 team.
