July 6: The Seat Division ordered the Central Troops to remain in the state for 10 days after the results were announced on 12 July.
July 12: The court says the announcement of the results will be subject to its final orders on matters it hears on the ballot. The case for hearing was posted on July 19. Petitions before the Supreme Court include allegations of widespread violence and electoral malpractice, and an appeal to re-ballot at some 50,000 booths.
