According to officials, the fire broke out on the first floor of an auto service center in West Delhi
About 20 cars were damaged in a fire that broke out at a car service center in Mayapuri district of West Delhi on Wednesday, officials here said.
They added that there were no reports of injuries.
According to officials, the fire broke out on the first floor of the showroom.
Atul Garg, director of Delhi Fire Service, said a call was received about the fire at 7.25 am and 19 tenders were pressed to extinguish the fire.
He said the fire had been put out and the cooling process had begun.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer said teams of Police and DDMA were also involved in putting out the fire at the Mahindra Service Center in Phase 1 of Mayapuri.
He said the fire is now under control.
Ver added that about 15 to 20 vehicles were partially or completely burned.
Officials said the cause of the fire has been confirmed.
