Devin Booker’s first signature shoe with Nike called the “BOOK 1” is due out next year. The first pictures of the sneakers went viral on Twitter and fans were relentless. Many did not like the design and thought it looked like Air Force One.

Sneaker News offers an exclusive first look at Poker’s signature sneaker. Please note that these are just samples and may not be the final look. BOOK 1 was designed with the old school ’80s era of Nike basketball in mind.

Additional details on the shoe include a “BOOK 1” logo on the tongue and a 1996 Booker Birthmark on the heel pull tab. There are also three potential colors slated for release next year, possibly called black, hemp, and metallic red bronze.

The Phoenix Suns are looking to expand their championship window by surrounding Devin Booker and Kevin Durant with more talent. The Suns started the season with a bang by acquiring Bradley Bell from the Washington Wizards for a package that included Chris Paul.

Phoenix has lost several players innings to free agency but the front office led by James Jones has been quick to build roster depth. The Suns have signed Keita Bates Diop, Yuta Watanabe, Drew Eubanks, Eric Gordon and Chimzi Mito. They also drafted Tomani Kamara and brought back Damion Lee.

With Paul gone, Booker will likely have more playmaking duties unless the Suns acquire a starting point guard. The three-time All-Star has cemented himself among the best shooting guards in the league in the past two years.
